ABOUT ME

I’m Petra, I’m 29 years old and I was born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium. My mother tongue is Dutch. I'm cheerful and outgoing and I love meeting new people.

I’m a busy girl. I go running before work on weekdays, so I get up at 6.15. After work I attend yoga classes and language courses. Whenever I’m not taking classes, I try to go out with friends. We generally get together for dinner, either at a restaurant or at our own place. I must admit: I'm a foodie (but I hate doing the dishes). I have a huge table in my living room and I can seat about 10 people. We also get together a lot for drinks and games.

I don’t go out dancing as often as I would like, but I’m always up for a party. I’m spoiled in the sense that there must be 15 clubs in Antwerp and there always something going on somewhere. I usually go out clubbing on Thursday or Saturday. Don’t bother me on Fridays. Friday is my day to relax at home.

I have been all over Europe, and now I’m taking the first steps to discover the rest of the world. A few years ago I visited Thailand and Cambodia (backpacking). It was my first passport-needed-vacation. After that I made it a mission to use that passport as much as possible. I've used it so far to travel to South Africa, Florida, Canada, New York, Morrocco and Russia.

I've been laying low since I joined. I have tried to meet up with couchsurfers for coffee, but somehow it was always bad timing.
