About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have a high respect and love for Indonesian people because of their friendliness, openness, curiosity and honesty.
I'm in here to meet them and forge friendships.

ABOUT ME

I've been around, physically, mentally, and morally.
I've worn many hats.
I have stories to tell and I like to make them long.
But I'm thankful and humbled for the way my life has turned out, and never taken one single moment for granted.
I continue my travels as it seems to be the most educating and rewarding experience to be granted.

PHILOSOPHY

"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failures, than to take ranks with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."
by Teddy Roosevelt

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The little I have by means of accomodation isn't much, but I'd like to think that a warm and friendly hospitality is more valuable than comfort.
Actually, it's quite comfortable ☺.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing on my own has had its rewards, but I am looking forward to sharing great moments with the members of a community which purpose and mission is to share cultural heritages in the common spirit of global travelling.

Interests

Whether they be mountains, beaches, jungles, caves, you name it..., they've got my vote if they're outdoor activities; from mild to wild in the air, on the earth, and under the earth!
Very much into local cultures and traditions.
Art galleries and museums are on my list too.
Everything my eyes lay upon ends up in the picture box.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Growing up in Congo to the age of 13 has got to be the most outrageous thing I've experienced.
I have flown jets, drove a Porsche, had my own flat in Paris, lived my own version of the American Dream, learned to fly planes, earned my GED (yes, there are no small achievements), sold T-shirts at swap-meets, driven limos in L.A., flown first class for free, talked a teenager out of committing suicide, felt like an ant at the foot of Niagara Falls, etc (life should be an adventure).

Teach, Learn, Share

I am no comedian but I have some interesting stories.
In all modesty, and far from having all the answers, I like to think that life has taught me valuable lessons and practical skills. This information is free for the asking.
So, come and make friends with me.

Please note that I cannot host women. If you are one and send me a request, I will know you have not read my profile and I will ignore your message, thing I normally never do.
