About Me

kind of a "greenie" :)
very committed to her personal beliefs
stubborn to an annoying degree
loves animals and Alexander the Great :D
can't stand to be alone in her flat for too long, desperately wishes for a balcony to grow her tomatoes on
is obsessed with going to the river in the summer, and being outside during beautiful wheather even if she should be studying
somewhat of a restless soul who's constantly looking for something new in her life
likes talking a lot, but can also listen to her friends
would love to meet more people from different cultures and go travelling more often
outgoing and very open about her own feelings in front of EVERYONE ;)

Like you could guess from my field of study, I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to history and languages. However, I'm also an outgoing person, who likes to meet new people and go out to have fun.

I'm pretty interested into current political affairs and generally questions of society, especially in regards to gender rights and European asylum policies. In the past I've done voluntary work for Young Friends of the Earth Germany and I hope to be able to get involved into something once I'm in the UK as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

once at a protest against nuclear powerplants which i helped organize when a good friend and colleague of mine spoke on the stage, thanking everyone for their enthusiasm and commitment. that was a really intense moment for me because i'd been so invested in this topic for several months after the fukushima incident and it was just amazing to see all these people fighting for something that was truly important to them in such a creative and colorful way.

last year when i was on the ferry from chios island back to athens and saw the sunset over the ocean. i was both happy and sad at the same time, happy because i was witness to this beautiful, impressive show of nature and had had a great time in greece, a country which i love - and sad because i was leaving it behind and going back home and because such moments are so rare. it just was a very pure and true moment.
