ABOUT ME

My name is Vanessa and I am a half Peruvian/ half Italian architectural illustrator, currently living in the beautiful city of Savannah.

Here I illustrate historical properties, paint for gallery exhibitions, work as a street artist drawing streetscapes and sell them by the riverfront. I also work as a server at a fine dining seafood restaurant by the river.

My current Mission is to illustrate the Urban sketch Tours starting with Savannah, Charleston, and the surrounding beautiful cities.

PHILOSOPHY

To learn from everything and everyone. Never be scared of life or love, even if sometimes bad experiences hurt you... if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger, and that's the only way of eventually becoming a superhero.

I would love to meet people from all around the world and offer friendship and kindness. I am very interested in what they have to say, their ideals, cultures, interests, imagination, laughs and revolutionary or peaceful thoughts :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a few hosting experiences and they have been all very good so far. I surfed a few couches and made some wonderful friends during my visits to Montreal., Charleston and Asheville.

Intereses

Love to cook, draw and paint, dance, play the mandolin and guitar, travel, dance, run and bike everywhere, dance... develop super yoga powers. Very interested in good conversations, good music, and the ridiculous and fantastic in general.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Having to walk down the mountain from Machu Picchu when it got pitch-black dark (all the people and buses had already left) - with my friend, we hid inside and stayed a bit longer in the sacred city. We were terrified climbing down, holding only a cheap little flash light, and a knife. It was as dark as it gets, the hike down took 2 and a half hours in steep terrains, and we could see all the stars in the world.

Ive never seen such a sky again.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can... teach you how to cook Italian food from scratch and dance salsa. My mandolin skills are not supreme, but I can share - play for you and hopefully it will not be too painful. I think i play guitar better... I'm a henna artist. I can share ridiculous humor and laughs, and I can share dessert.... We have some of the world's most delicious ice cream here in Savannah at Leopold's.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can share experiences and be as useful and entertaining to any host as I would be to any good friend. It doesn't matter where I go in the world, I can always find a good bottle of wine and share good company
