I quit my job in May 2018 to pursue my dream of cycling around the world. Plans changed and I’ve since cycled across Europe, India and Australia, run across Sri Lanka and part of Japan and will be taking on an epic triathlon of New Zealand in 2020.

I love photography, cycling long distances, running marathons, cooking, sketching, travelling, literature, adventure, good friends and altogether just making the most of the wonderful planet we live on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hey there! From June 2018 I am embarking on a cycle tour to Sydney, Australia, taking in marathons and an attempt to run the length of Japan in 2019. I would love to meet new people, share experiences and rest my legs on sofas around the world!

I previously hosted for two months in Bristol, meeting some wonderfully kind and generous people, and just love the way this network brings people together.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love live music and am particularly fond of classic rock (ac/dc, led zeppelin etc). I have a wide music taste and can’t go a day without listening to an album.

I love to read and write, and will usually be found with my head in a travel or expedition related book. I’m a huge fan of adventurers such as Alastair Humphreys, Sean Conway, Anna Mcnuff, James Ketchell etc.

I keep a personal journal, dabble in poetry and write a blog.

I am a big film fan and will be happy to watch almost anything!

I quit my job to attempt to cycle around the planet and raise vital money for the hospital that saved my life

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a few kitchen recipes (curry, lasagne, stews, bolognese, stir-frys, soups, desserts etc.) and am a keen cook. I make fantastic flapjacks.

I love learning about new cultures and communities.

Sharing experiences of travel or just life in general is hugely important to me. I want to fill my time meeting as many new people as I can, seeing how they live and work and hopefully share my own tales.
