Retired former café owner in Llanberis. I started Pete's Eats with my ex-wife back in 1978 and it quickly became popular with rock climbers and people into outdoor activities.
I have travelled quite a bit and received much friendship, help and hospitality from many strangers and have given quite a bit back to others. I used to work hard, run in the mountains, swim in the lakes and climb though feet problems now restrict what I can do. I have been vegetarian for 40 years, never smoked and drink little alcohol.
I have a good knowledge of the local area having enjoyed hill walking, climbing, running and swimming. Llanberis is at the foot of Snowdon, Wales highest mountain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Instead of meeting new people when I am travelling it is a chance to meet them here is my own home. I hope to back pack most of next year and this is one way of getting back in the groove. I think sharing what we have is a way for us all to be better about ourselves.
