Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m a college student from Chicago, Illinois. I work full time as a barista and do freelance studio modeling and photography on the side. I enjoy the craft of espresso and photography because of the blend of nature, science, and art. I purchased a car in late 2018 and have been eager to put miles on it. I have since visited Tennessee, Michigan, Virginia, D. C., Pennsylvania, New York, and Toronto.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I have found that in my solo travels, there is a great amount of time and money to spent with better judgment. It is a shame that I have wasted so many nights in expensive hotels instead of exploring other options and unique experiences. I began staying in hostels in America only recently, as I stayed in a hostel for the first time ever in Europe in September 2018.
While touring the Eastern US for three weeks, I fell in love with travel. Upon my return home, I decided to quit my job and pack everything up. I bought a tent for the nights I can’t find a friend to stay with, and am planning on spending 6 months- 2 years traveling to all fifty states. No trust fund, not many funds whatsoever, but I’m ready to roll! My trip officially began May 21, 2019

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: too many to list, definitely a great conversation piece. Audrey Hepburn to Tarantino
Books: Philosophy, Astronomy/-physics, Coffee
Music: I hosted an FM radio show for two years and I have enjoyed exploring music my whole life. Just starting to dip my toes in the water when it comes to country music tho.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked through the backcountry of Utah for 2 1/2 months.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could help you learn about coffee/espresso, but I don’t expect anyone to be interested so I promise not to talk about espresso if you don’t ask. I also love sharing my unique life experiences with anyone interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to share my time and good company. Still new, so I suppose I will update this section later. I’m a near no-stress guest.
I could do your dishes.
I have a car and am happy to help take you somewhere if the opportunity arises.
A thoughtful & honest reference.
