Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got into it when I went for a cross country road trip in 2016 because I figured it would be a more interactive way to travel. I met a few generous souls through the experience who were a delight to get to know. Since then I've only hosted once, largely out of respect for my roommate's privacy, but I'm certainly open to hosting if possible. I really like the idea of cultural exchange and interpersonal connection involved in the couchsurfing experience, and enjoy getting a taste of people who I ordinarily wouldn't interact with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decided to run my first marathon on a whim two days in advance and somehow managed to win (this was not the most competitive of races, but still an unreal experience).
