I love to travel - meeting new people, experiencing new things and learning every day are three of my passions.

My background is in financial services, and was for seven years, until I realised that a life of spreadsheets and number crunching wasn't for me!

So I quit the job, moved out of the house and set off for Europe - backpacking through 14 countries over 3 months was the most rewarding thing I've ever done.

The moment I returned home, all I wanted to do was to get back out there and explore, so I lived cheap, saved up, and on the 29th June 2016, arrived in Costa Rica to begin a little adventure...

Over the weeks and months ahead, I hope to learn Spanish, read widely, experience new foods and places, and simply immerse myself in local culture.

I love to listen, and learn from other people - more than the beautiful places I was so fortunate to experience whilst backpacking in Europe, the most amazing part of my journey was, without question, the people.

During that trip I stayed in hostels and with friends I met along the way, however during this trip I'd like to Couchsurf as much as possible - the opportunity to stay with and learn from local people all over the world is an amazing prospect, and I can't wait to start!

My ambition for Couchsurfing simple - quality time spent with other people that I can learn from, and hopefully make a positive difference to.

I adore my family and friends, exploring and experiencing new things.

I appreciate good Coffee, Broccoli and Marks & Spencer Chocolate Cookies.

I love being active; especially cycling, squash, Krav Maga and T25.

Reading is my favourite medium for learning, which I love to do every day.

I have been deeply influenced by the teachings of Stephen Covey, and am so excited at the opportunity to learn from so many incredible, influential people over the years ahead.

The combination of continued investment in both myself, and other people is endlessly rewarding.

I may be 27, however I find a child like joy in so many of the smallest things!

I believe that health, choice and simply life itself are incredible privileges, and I intend to make the very most of each and every day.
