It’s really hard for me to describe myself, but what I can definitely say is that I love traveling and I’m trying to do that as much as I possibly can. Also I like trying to learn new languages and when traveling, I like to use Couchsurfing and being together with locals as I’m more interested in culture rather than a typical sightseeing. And yes, I do have obsession with mountains haha. I consider myself to be an open minded person who’s interested to meet people from different parts of the world and share stories and experiences. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I stayed with a CS host for the first time ever for 3 months in 2017 (he was a friend of mine before I even found out before Couchsurfing) and I met more than 60 absolutely amazing people in that house during my multiple stays there, so I decided to try it out myself and I got to say: One of the best decisions of my life.

Interests

It's hard to describe this one as I have too many interests and sometimes it feels like I have no specific interests at all haha. But I really love to discuss interesting and complex topics in order to understand different perspectives and to become more open minded.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's too many things to be honest, but to name some:

Randomly ended up spending a week in the middle of Siberia with my school choir against my will in 2018

I did my first solo trip in 2019 for 31 days, spending 10 days traveling around Europe and then spent 21 days in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

Bought a car in April 2022 and did over 60000km in 10 months with it.

Spent almost a year doing Working Holiday in New Zealand in 2023/2024

Finally started my bachelor's degree in Media&Culture studies in 2025 at age 24

I can try to teach some Latvian and give you some insights into Latvian culture if you’re interested. And obviously friendship and the rest that comes with it :)
