About Me

I'm a new adventurer. This is the last summer before I get my degree and start my career. I love my record collection and try to listen to them everyday. I'm probably the most laid back easy going person you'll meet. I can plan trips and events down to the second as well as just winging it and seeing how it goes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to backpack across Europe at the end of the summer and not just see the tourist side of it. I want to do what the locals do and get a real experience. I might also be interested in working there after I finish up my last semester

I'm a little disappointed I just discovered this site. I wish I had known about it years ago as I have been missing out on some wonderful people and beautiful places. I want to experience culture in other places form people that live and work there.

Interests

Steam locomotives, vinyl records, engineering, technology.

I am on the board of directors of a group to restore a steam locomotive to operation. I do a lot of the social media stuff and love every second of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Funk, soul, old R&B, blues, jazz, rock, disco, pretty much anything you can dance to.

Back to the Future, Apollo 13, James Bond

Harry Potter, 11/22/63, anything on WWII, 20th century history. Unfortunately I haven't had much

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched Nik Wallenda walk across Niagara Falls on a tight rope. I was the first person in 60 years to open the throttle of our steam locomotive.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have an extensive knowledge of steam locomotives!

While there isn't much to see and do in Old Town, I am fairly knowledgeable about the local history. Yes, we have a bus system, no, it isn't very good. I can definitely show you Acadia National Park (depending on my schedule and the season).

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Italy

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
