PHILOSOPHY

Be a traveler, not a tourist.

Life is too short, get out and travel now. I have been traveling since I was a child and believe everyone should dedicate sometime every year to travel. It's hard to make up for lack of travel throughout your life and because the experience of travel shape your life in interesting ways. Don't wait until you retire to start traveling, it could be too late...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can cook a bit and always help clean up, Need a hand fixing something? I'm there to help. Always happy to explore your computer problems with you. And I can make a few cocktails and am equally happy talking over a cup of coffee or tea if my host doe not care for alcohol.

I was a professional photographer for many years. Chance are I will take your picture, only if you want, and share it with you. Glad to give you tips on taking better pictures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with three CS hosts in Brazil and one in Suriname, all very cool, good experiences all around. Looking to meet new people and get to know their world.

Interests

Computer guy, photographer, snow border, swimmer, scuba diver. Enjoy talking about politics, science and history. Love going to fine art museums, galleries, movies, walks, making art... I play a few card games, including poker and enjoy chess. Live music and dancing anyone?

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a huge range of music, from Spanish guitar to hard rock. I enjoy science fiction movies and books, because they extend the borders of reality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling through Central and South America in 2012-2013 I have had so many memorable experience. One highlight was watching turtles come into Punta la Flor, Nicaragua, to lay eggs under starlight...repeating a pattern that stretches for thousands of years.

Crossing from Panama to Columbia on a sail boat, 30 dolphins swam ahead of the bow for ~20 minutes. It as pure delight watching these creatures jump and roll, just playing. They had no need to swim with us, they were simply enjoying the moment.

Angel Falls, in southern Venezuela, appeared out of the clouds after days of travel. Watching the water spill over the top and slow drift down, turning into mist. The experience was mesmerizing, like watching a painting. I highly recommend making the trek to the world's highest waterfall, its well worth the effort.
