About Me

Please take the time to read the info about our home, so you know exactly where you are coming and to find a very important clue if you want to stay at us.

I was born in Romania in a Hungarian family, so life gave me an opportunity. I started up in a more difficult sittuation as most people do: as a member of a minority. Fortunately I did not receive any more "gifts" from life, I grew up in a loving family with my two sisters.
In 5th grade my headmaster once said: you'll be a philosopher. She wasn't too far from reality, but she wasn't right either. It turned out that I become a software developer.
During university I set up my goals in life: I want a car, a house and a happy family.
I already achieved most of my goals: I have a car and my wife "came" with a house. So I have nothing left in this life, but to love my wife and cherish her.
As it turned out, I'm not the kind of person, who sits the whole day in front of the TV (we don't even have a TV), but I must be active all the time. As does my wife too. So... I think it will be a good experience meeting us.

As we most probably will travel together with my wife and many host request a description of my companion, here it goes:
She is my wife, the most precious thing on earth to me (she can't be anything bad, does she?). She is athletic, friendly (in fact, more friendly than me) and very ambitious. She excels in everything she does. We both love nature and good food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I signed up for Couchsurfing I knew someday I will want to travel a lot with my wife and the best way to travel is with the help of locals. I thought we'll pay in advance by hosting other Couchsurfers first. The experience was - as we expected - nice, and we have only good memories.
Unfortunately at some point we started to overload ourselves with work. We became tired all the time, and didn't have the time and patience to host any more. This was the first sign that our lives went wrong.
At the end of 2015 we took a 3 month holiday to try to change our lives. We cannot say, that we managed to change our lives totally, but we took a good turn. During this time we tried Couchsurfing in Amsterdam and New York, unfortunately without any luck. But this didn't let us down, and when we came home in our "new life" we had time to host again and meet wonderful people.

Why I didn't get verified? Because it costs money and given my background I had to learn that money must be spared where ever you can. A little bit here and a little bit there can make a huge difference.
