About Me

PLEASE READ

I have spent countless nights on couches and enjoy hosting respectful guests, though even the best guest (myself included) begins to smell after a few nights. As such, I'm most likely to accept requests for 2-3 nights. Also, I'm unlikely to respond to requests from unverified people or those with no/few references, as well as introductions that are cut/pastes.

CURRENT MISSION

After five years of continuous backpacking around the world, I am enjoying exploring my new neighborhood and delighting in the day to day. Now I'm happy to occasionally host couchsurfers - fulfilling my karmic imperative to open my home.

ABOUT ME

Diverse background, currently an author and personal consultant to select individuals. Past lives include healthcare executive, political campaign manager, cowboy, internet startup founder, plumber apprentice, management consultant.

PHILOSOPHY

Respect, learn, share and strive to recognize the oneness of the universe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just begun hosting, though have stayed on many a couch as I travelled. I met many great couchsurfers along the road. Sometimes when stuck (Nepal for a 10 day general strike) met up with some fellow surfers. Now that I have keys, I'm happy to host cool and respectful surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since travelling I've met a many people along the way (at least when I've planned far enough in advance to couchsurf), stayed with quite a few, gone to a few events, and all good times.

Interests

Yoga, walking, talking, sharing experiences, exploring, writing, thinking

Music, Movies, and Books

Everything. Happy to share music - I have Apple TV and Chromecast so bring your cool playlists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drove to Alaska from Miami; walked the Camino de Santiago; toured all of Iceland; backpacked through Latin America; got lost in rural China; trekked in the Himalayas; not allowed back to Guatemala, Greece nor Georgia; [UPDATE: I can go back to Greece now]
