ABOUT ME

Currently a graduate student at Brown University in the department of sociology, I do research both in Providence, RI and Brazil...and I love to teach. My research looks at the intersections between development and environment and because of this I am lucky enough to be able to travel around Brazil (as well as other places in the world). I am learning Portuguese and will, at some point, live in the Brazilian Amazon for a year.

Sharing a few beers with good friends is all I need to be happy but I stay active with cycling, climbing, hiking, etc. Basically, I love to be outside, whether it's on my bike or on some kind of boat or hiking through the woods.
