About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn how to learn, so I can teach myself out of a job

ABOUT ME

The most excellent blend of quirky and fun. I play with lego and Rubik's cubes and my 3D printers. I collect international coins, and if you are able to trade with me, that would be really great!

I think that everything is interesting, provided that you can find someone passionate enough about it to explain it to you.

I love nature and exploring the wilderness and watching the stars. I play trumpet, dance poi, try to build robots, drink tea, and generally don't take life too seriously. I also make a mean gourmet pancake breakfast!

Beyond all that, talk to me and I'm sure we will have a great conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

There is no such thing on earth as an uninteresting subject; the only thing that can exist is an uninterested person.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have used couchsurfing while travelling through China and Indonesia, and found the most fantastic hosts! I love this community and the opportunities it provides to meet such incredible people from all different cultures.
I have been hosting in Calgary, Canada for almost two years and have had a lot of great surfers stay with me!

Interests

Tea, computers, programming, music, 3D printing, poi, mathematics, being outside.

I like to do computer programming and video game design. I have made some prototypes and am currently working on some android projects!

I have a guitar that I love to play, as well as a trumpet. I want to learn the harmonica because it is much easier to travel with than a guitar!

Music, Movies & Books

Stardust, Ender's Game, Extrememly Loud and Incredibly Close

One Amazing Thing I've Done

This one time in China I travelled to a Tibetan university town. In the crook between two mountains were massive temple-styled university buildings, and running up the sides of the mountains were small Tibetan houses - dormitories built by the students. It was incredible.

Also, every time I reach the summit of a mountain in the Canadian Rockies is an incredible experience. Seeing for leagues, sometimes with no sign of humanity, literally on top of the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can do simple repair work (replacing light switches, outlets, doorknobs, etc.), some woodworking, and soldering.
I can help you with your math homework (probably).

Countries I've Visited

Canada, China, Indonesia

Countries I've Lived In
