Hi! I'm from Oakland, California in the United States. Back home I try to keep busy, always planning on going to events during the weeks whether it be music, an art opening, or maybe just to go out for a drink with friends. My friends describe me as a fun-loving, charming and courteous individual.

I'm gonna be backpacking through Europe for four months, and it'll be my first time outside of the US. I'm excited to see what my travels will bring and hope to meet many interesting people along the way.

I play guitar in a band with some buddies back home, and also am into synthesizers and the like. I'm into literature and creative writing, and like to write short prose pieces.

I like a lot of alternative music from the 80s up til now. All time favorites would include The Magnetic Fields, Sebadoh, Half Japanese, Unwound. I used to be a techno DJ, so we could talk about that. I'm a bit of a music nerd though so I love a lot of different types of music.

I'm into a wide variety of movies, though I would say I focus more on reading than watching movies.

As far as books go I'm well versed with critical theory and literary classics. All time literature favorites include Kafka, Gogol, Dostoevsky, Robert Walser, Borges, Lydia Davis, Chekhov, etc. I've read a variety of critical theory/philosophy which I will list in no particular order: Foucault, Hegel, Lacan, Kojeve, Debord, Lukacs, Marx, among many others who don't come to mind at the moment.

I like to cook and would be excited to help make dinner. I would be happy to help with errands if needed. I'm also pretty handy with anything technical or with simple manual labor, so if that could come in handy then by all means I could help with that. I'm considerate and always appreciative of others hospitality and do my best to return the favor.
