About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Become a better teacher, learn to love fully, pursue studies in philosophy, write write write.

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty serious person on my own, though love to have fun and try new things. Sounds like a contradiction right? Business was my field of study, but I'm really passionate about culture, literature, and the arts. In the coming months, I'll be continuing my studies at a distance in philosophy. I try to live my life as if it were a great adventure. If viewed this way, inconveniences are not so, and every situation is possibility.

PHILOSOPHY

Experience epitomizes my personal outlook on life. There are far too many possibilities in the world to limit yourself to just a few. I try to rid myself of prejudice and be open to all kinds of people, and experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few years ago I backpacked around Europe and met so many fascinating people through couchsurfing. Travelling is not the same without this deep personal connection to the people of the places that you visit.

Interests

I'm an avid runner, reader, and writer. Sport has always been central in my life and there are few that I haven't at least tried. I'm a huge history nerd and fan of the arts, although my interest in the latter far outstrips my knowledge ;).

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a tough question as my tastes have changed so much over the years and , but here goes an eclectic mix. Movies: LOTR, Monty Python (all of them), The Matrix, Tarantino movies, Amélie. Music: Above & Beyond, Chopin, Debussy, Mozart, Of Monsters. Books: War & Peace, Du Côté de Chez Swann, L'étranger, the Trial, Lolita, Don Quixote, The Iliad, most philosophy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love immersing myself in the culture of the places I travel. I want to learn as much and experience as much of the local culture wherever I go.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I wouldn't call myself a good cook but am more than happy to try what works for me. Conversation is a delight, and I think I can make it happen with anyone about anything. I love to read about a great variety of topics and like to think that this makes me interesting to speak with ;)
