Born in Germany to Chinese immigrants, I consider myself neither German or Chinese, but cross-cultural.

I speak English, Deutsch, 中文，一点上海话, un poco de español ja vähän suomea.

I love discovering new music from different genres and experiencing live music. Becoming a musician is my secret dream.

I have a background in Computer Science (Machine Learning specialization), minoring in Philosophy.
Nowadays I am specializing in Human-Computer Interaction & Design.

Social sciences are also interesting to me. I would love to read some more material about coloniality, race, gender, class, intersectionality and asia in general.

I am currently staying in Helsinki, Finland as an exchange student.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to live through lasting life experiences to feel alive, that's why i want to make time for adventures, to be eager to see and learn new things. I'm on CS to find a place to crash while traveling, but I also I want to give something back in exchange for your hospitality and make a new friend. I am open for conversations about everything. If you host me, please don't feel pressured to prepare any meals or anything, I can survive on putting sandwiches together or rather cook something for us. That said, you also don't have to feel forced to entertain me if you have are busy, I'm an independent traveler and can find interesting things to do by myself. But of course I am also happy about your tips or company.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once a performer at an open stage event asked for a volunteer. I came up and he gave me a small notice containing turkish lyrics to read. He proceeded to ask me whether I speak any Turkish, which I answered with, "No, but I can try." Then we sang the sond acapella alternating with each line, and apparently I totally nailed it, because afterwards some people were questioning me whether the interaction was scripted.
