ABOUT ME

I grew up on a small dairy farm, got through college, and now I work as a scientist by day and travel the world by night. In my free time I play soccer, go on adventures, and build all sorts of novelties that I think are cool. I love the outdoors, xc and downhill skiing, and I'm always willing to try new things. Also, I enjoy a good beer.

PHILOSOPHY

I'll try anything once.
Organizations are only as good as the people in them.
Go with the flow.
It's only far away til you get there.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just a surfer for now. If I had a couch you'd be more than welcome to it, but I don't so you're not.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had the best experience of my life surfing in Alaska in 2013! Went on a 3 week trip through the Yukon (including a sick canoe trip down the Yukon river!) and stayed with the same hostess in Anchorage 9 separate times. Nothing but wonderful people on here so far!

I went on a summer-long solo trip across the USA in 2015. I had some really good couchsurfing hosts throughout the whole trip.

I stood on top of Mt. Chirripo Costa Rica and watched the sun rise from behind the Atlantic Ocean until its rays touched the Pacific behind me.
