ABOUT ME

I love to learn new things, everything from Biology and Philosophy to Remote Sensing and GIS to History and Astronomy. My PhD research involves mapping habitat quality of threatened wildlife, both birds (sage-grouse) and mammals (pygmy rabbits). In my spare time I enjoy playing chess and hiking.

In 2008 I finally made it out of the country, went to Costa Rica and Canada. Then in 2009 I got to go on a two month tour of Europe. Since then things have been pretty quiet until June 2014 when my work allowed me to visit the Czech Republic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted gatherings at my house in Nampa and went to the gatherings in Boise. I had my first group of CouchSurfers stay with me in November 2008.

I couchsurfed my way through Europe (May 2009 - July 2009).
