Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of indie and alternative pop, and I listen to lots of music from the 80s and 90s too!

Some of my favourite movies are probably Isle of Dogs and CODA. I enjoy a few TV shows as well - Andor and The Good Place were great.

In terms of books, I enjoy dystopian fiction: Station Eleven and Oryx and Crake are a couple highlights. I also read lots of psychological non-fiction. Shorter and Rest are a couple that really changed my approach to work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During a trip to Costa Rica, lightning struck the beach -- while I was swimming in the ocean, probably 50 feet away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm to learn about the places I'm staying and hopefully visit a few spots where tourists usually don't go. And I like to hear people's stories and appreciate their experiences, especially if we've visited some of the same places!

In terms of things I can teach, well: I could talk about programming for ages, try to teach some guitar, and maybe share a cooking tip or two.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook (and I think I'm not bad at it) so I'd be more than happy to prepare a meal or two and provide groceries if needed. I could also share a couple of guitar or piano pieces if instruments are available! I'm good to help out with anything else that needs doing too :)
