ABOUT ME

We are Peter and Marieke. We have been living in Amsterdam for more than 10 years, we recently gave up our lives here to live in New Zealand for a while. Now after almost 2 years we are returning to Amsterdam.

I (Peter) graduated as a family doctor, while Marieke used to work at "the Future Firm" on leadership programs.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In both Wellington and Amsterdam we've regularly hosted some very nice people from all over the world. Last couple of months we've done quite some couchsurfing ourselves and it was brilliant.

We love travelling and maybe would like to stay at your place someday too.

This doesn't mean you don't have a chance if you're not able to host yourself.

Interests

Peter: I love to do scuba diving and have a pint afterwards. If there's no diving spots around....just a pint. I'm attracted to most watersports actually. Sailing, surfing and swimming are fun too. Besides that I play field hockey and chess. I love to watch football. I' ve been travelling to pretty much everywhere in the world and love to meet new cultures.

Marieke: also loves hobbies ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all kind of movies. Personal best would probably be Godfather 2.

I love electronic dance music like techno and deephouse and dance festivals, but anything with a beat or strong guitars will do.

I think I particularly enjoy world literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too much to mention:
New York marathon. Diving trips all over the world. The culture shock in India.

Couchsurfing with Honduras' most popular pop artist.

Being invited to a family reunion with total strangers in Portugal.
