Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first visits to Québec were couch surfing in a village in Mauricie, and lured me to that beautiful land to learn French. I also enjoyed my couchsurfing in Longirod in (Vaud) Switzerland, where I shared fondu, good wine with my hosts.

As a host, I received an old friend who lives in London when I was living in Asheville and introduced him to the local contra dance scene, toured the Blue Ridge Parkway, and visited some of the more interesting bars and restaurants in town.

Mes premières visites au Québec étaient en faisant du couchsurfing dans un village en Mauricie et me tentaient d'aller dans ce beau pays-là pour aller apprendre le français. J'ai joui également mes expériences de couchsurfing à Longirod en Suisse où j'ai partagé du fondu, et du bon vin avec mes hôtes.
Comme hôte, j'ai reçu un vieil ami qui habite à Londres pendant quelques jours quand j'habitais à Asheville. Je lui ai présenté la contradanse, on a fait un tour sur le Blue Ridge Parkway et on a visité les bars et resto les plus intéressants en ville.

Interests

I enjoy travel, music, enjoying life with friends, free software, film (indie, especially), and literature. I contra dance at least twice a week.

J'aime le voyages, la musique, jouir la vie entre amis, le logiciel libre, le film (surtout l'indépendant), et la litérature. Je fais la contredanse deux fois par semaine.

The greatest book I have read in the past few years was Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. I also really enjoyed The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Tom Robbins, William Bourroughs, and Jack Kerouac are some others I've found amusing or inspiring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've seen were the castles in the countryside of France. Before that I had only seen castles in storybooks.
