I'm Petra and currently studying Environmental Resources Management, but I will start to study Teaching (English & History) in the fall semester. I am working part-time in a shop that sells only fair trade products.
I'm really looking forward to meeting some of you fellow couchsurfers in person!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

While some people enjoy just being on on vacation, I enjoy travelling. Getting the authentic experience. I've never been interested in 5* Hotels and such, always on the search for the real deal (so to speak).
With couchsurfing I really feel that you can not only visit places, but live in them, even if it's just for a short time.

Right now I am trying to read my first novel in Swedish, even though it takes me quite a long time..
I like Wolf Haas, Harry Potter (and will never stop), but otherwise don't really have favorite authors. Some of my recent reads:

Harper Lee - To Kill a Mockingbird
..oh, and I am always reading travel guides, even for fun. :)

Music:
I like variety. Love indie, love to discover how many good bands we have in Austria, love rock, also like some electronic stuff and classical music.
Foo Fighters, The Maccabees, Beatles, Florence & The Machine, Austrian group Alma, Two Door Cinema Club, and many more.

Films:
I need to have a story. Don't really like romantic comedies or pure action films. But stuff to think about, to laugh about.
Fight Club, Das Ewige Leben, BBC's series Sherlock, Third Star, 12 Years A Slave, Oliver Twist, Millennium Trilogy (swedish), Borgen (Danish series), etc.

I'm not sure if it's really amazing, but I lived in Pennsylvania as an exchange student for six months when I was a teenager.
