Hello, I'm Petra! I have been born and raised in Cape Town South Africa, and from a young age I started practising violin(haha ok I also love it). Now music and the violin is what I do. Currently I am studying a masters in the Netherlands - Den Haag. I loVE Cape Town, it is an absolutely breathtaking city and now that I'm away I try not to think about how much I love and miss hiking on the mountains there and walking on the beaches. I also really appreciate that I've had the chance to be able to see a few bits of the world. The best part was/is the friendships that I made in these places!

Although I enjoy being with people, I am quiet and reserved and more of a listener than a talker. I am very interested in learning about indigenous knowledge and re-centring away from the Eurocentric outlook on which much of academics and research is based on. I am saved by God's grace and don't know how I would get up in the morning without the hope that comes with that.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of the most unusual things that I've done (not sure if its amazing haha) is hike up a mountain in China all through the night. We hiked up Mount Tai in Shandong province starting at 11pm and getting down at 8:30am. It was pretty hot and humid even at 2am when I found an excuse to eat an ice cream on the mountain slope.
