I'm a traveller who is always looking for new environments and topics to be fascinated by. Currently, I live in Vilnius and spend my time analyzing genomes. It’s a bit like being a biological detective. Some people read tea leaves or palms; I read DNA. While I can’t actually tell you who you’ll marry, I could probably predict if you like cilantro! I love meeting new people and hearing their stories! I belive that everyone has at least one story that could change my perspective on the world.

Couchsurfing lets travellers meet locals and I believe it is the only way to experience the local culture. Plus I love meeting new people, listening to their stories and seeing their customs.

For me, traveling is about immersion. I think that Couchsurfing is one of the few ways left to experience a culture from the inside out. You can visit a museum to learn about a city's past, but you won't 'feel' the city unless you hear the realities of a person living there or end up in a random niche jazz bar on a Tuesday night accompanied by an awesome local.
