ABOUT ME

mmm where to start?

After some nice uni time and a first boring job in Belgium, i found out pretty fast that exploring things is my thing and that it is even more fun if you can do it worldwide :)... so tumbled back into research, started of at a Germany university, worked and lived in Vietnam, moved on to Benin and now i am located in Singapore / Thailand for the next coming 2 years. I will be hopping quite a lot between Singapore, Chiang Mai and Phuket...combining the little moments in life with traveling and working

The nicest thing about it, besides submerging yourself into nature, is the contact with so many different cultures, ethnic groups who are living in small villages up in the mountains, tourists in the bigger cities, expats in the middle of nowhere, each with their own story and point of view on life! Love to have a chat or a drink and just explore cities, nature and people..think curiosity is just my biggest signature together with a sometimes twisted urge for adventure it makes up a talkative, energetic, positive me :)

Hoping to go on doing this for quite some time before heading home for my retirement or so :)....

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now going for a drink with new CS who happen to end up in the place i am currently :)
As soon as i know more or less where my basis is and i have a lovely flat then a couch will be waiting for you :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a newbie, as green as it can be :) but as my friends are couchsurfers and had such great experiences i thought i should be part of it :)....

Interests

Everything that is not dull :)...my favorites: being active and explore things while listening to good music, concerts and in my lazy moments a good book and a cup of coffee will do fine :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh there are so many, driving a 4*4 through a national park in Benin straight after an elephant, sleeping at farmers houses in Vietnam, seeing Angkor in Cambodja,... each place just has a something special if you look for it :)...
