ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town in Wyoming. I left at age 15 and started traveling... after living in South America, Europe, Asia, and various cities in the US, I've settled on the island of Manhattan. It works for me. I live and work in a cute little neighborhood called Nolita; I know everybody here, walk around with me and I'll introduce you to them!

When I'm not in my neighborhood I'm usually out of the city - I do a lot of traveling; I love the bus for local North Easty trips. I love that I can get to Boston, DC, Philly, Baltimore, Ithaca, Gloucester, etc by someone else driving. I'm not bothered by people talking on the phone. I like making pleasant conversation with my seat-mate. And I sleep like a baby. I like the bus.

I also like to fly into airports I've never been to, and visit the surrounding areas, of course. But who doesn't?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just getting my feet wet... plan to host more. My apartment is tiny, so it's tricky. But as I said, my neighborhood is great. and so is my roof! So if hosting doesn't work, I'd still like to hang out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've hosted some lovely Argentines - but I just gave them my apartment while I was out of town. They were lovely. I'll absolutely do that again.

I'd like to practice speaking spanish more. Learn to dance tango with an experienced dancer. Or better yet, practice spanish while learning tango!

I'd like to work completely remotely, so I could live anywhere. If I did, I'd go back to Argentina for a while, then I'd go to a farm in Vermont. Then I'd go back to South America, but to Bolivia and Paraguay. And on and on...

I rarely see movies, but when I do I wonder why I don't.

Books, I'm just about to read Neuromancer for the millionth time. Otherwise it's usually non fiction and I usually don't finish it.

Music, yes. a wide variety of artists and genres. lately it's a lot of Argentines; Axel Krygier, La Yegros to name a few. I also love Robyn. Phish tour takes up many of my weekends in the summer and fall, and always know where I'll be new year's eve. The helmet wearing frenchmen never fail to get my ass moving as does that far too hot and talented Nicolas Jaar. Father John Misty is my hipster crush, and I love his music too. If Gustavo Cerati comes out of his coma, I'll be his forever groupie. I love the symphony, I really do. Antibalas too.

I've done lots of amazing things, but I find everyday life in NYC to be pretty amazing.
