ABOUT ME

I love to learn! I was raised on a midwestern farm, so basically anything seems new and interesting to me.

My best and worst quality is that I am fairly sensible. It helps to keep me grounded but can also keep me from trying something new. I'm trying desperately to work on that.

PHILOSOPHY

I think I'm beginning to realize how individualistic life can be, and I want something more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never been a part of couch surfing. My school told me about it before I left to study abroad. I think it's an absolute brilliant way to encourage community and global relations though. I'm sure I'll get to have some incredible experiences!

I'm into a little of everything

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After 5 years of saving up money, I flew to London in the summer of 2011 for the last Harry Potter movie premiere. I stayed outside in the hot, cold and rain for about 48 hours to see all of the actors and JK Rowling herself. Coming from such a small town in the middle of no where just made the experience all the more fantastic. I met new people from around the globe, made a great friend, and had an experience that will never be felt again. Completely worth all the hard earned money!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to play the cello! Though I probably won't carry it along in travels. We can make do with anything that has strings.

I would love to learn more about doing outdoor activities like hiking, camping, rafting, etc. Growing up, my family never really did anything like that so I'm a complete fish out of water with those activities, and it's something I really, really want to do and continue doing.
