ABOUT ME

My best friends would say I'm a unique, perceptive, creative, musical, literate, conscious and loving person.
(I'm pretty sure they've told me that at one time or another!)
That I'm an awesome adventurous chef (mostly Mediterranean styles, no land animals, some seafood)
That I speak about life and consciousness with a measure of having achieved some satisfaction with both.
That politically, and socially, I'm a pragmatic idealist. A Thoreau-ian who still believes in a government of and by the people, so I vote. Every chance I get.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Teaching, performing, listening, writing, sharing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well. Back in the day, I hitchhiked about ten times the width and breadth of the continental US. Plenty of couchsurfing back in my 20s, before it was called that ;-)
As a traditional artist/craftsman (letterform, letterpress and some high-tech consulting) and musician (mostly Irish tradition, but also blues, some rock, some jazz, oldtime, etc) I've hosted numerous friendly musicians in my home over the years, and in turn been hosted by lovely friends around, including Ireland, Spain and Italy.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most amazing thing I've seen in the past years was the conscious and deliberate awareness exhibited by my dear sister Kate, who died in February 2012 of cancer. She was centered and balanced in every part of her life. To have seen her joyous celebration at the holidays, hosting her friends and family in what she — but very few others — knew would likely be her last winter, will never cease to humble and inspire me — amazing. Awesome indeed.

Other than that... geez. I don't know...
