ABOUT ME
My nerdiness is probably my most enduring (and possibly endearing?) quality. I'm taking a year off after graduating with my B.A., but am planning to go back to school for my PhD in Medieval History. The goal is to become a professor and never have to leave school. How cool would that be?
When I'm not digging around dusty archives translating Middle English I like to travel, spend time with my lovely boyfriend (fittingly enough, we met while we were both travelling in Scotland), read, play hockey, cook, watch any combination of rugby, hockey and American football and generally just spend time with friends and have a good time.
PHILOSOPHY
"Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." ~Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My flatmate and I 'surfed in Turin in February, 2006, for the Olympics and it was amazing. We couldn't find a place to stay the first night we were there, so we slept in the train station (Porta Nueva isn't all that bad, in case anyone else is ever strapped for somewhere to sleep in Turin), then we stayed with Vlad the next two nights. Couch surfing is a lifesaver for those of us with no cash but serious wanderlust....
