2011 is my year of change. More goals, more travels.... Mostly "more"!
Well as I've said, I mostly work and play with tech stuff. Computers and videogames.
I share my apartment with a friend from high school. Wow... It's been a while, come to think of it.
We tend to have people over... And the nightlife is usually bars and pubs. But we are good sport, easy to get along... So we're always up for something different.
Wow... That's deep!
I try to live with a simple motto: Live your life. A good life. Do no harm, and try to help those around you in the process.
There are people out there that really set out for causes and I applaud them... The world needs those people. I'm just not one of them, sadly or not. It is what it is. Having said that, I tend to help out whenever there's an opportunity. Thing is, I usually put my own life as top priority.
I think that if every other person in the world helps at least ONE other person... The world would have a surplus of helping hands.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just created my profile. "Always" heard about CouchSurfing, and... on par with my new year resolutions, here I am. I really should've done it sooner.
I'm as green as one can be! Looking forward to filling this up!
Well... For real: Meeting new and interesting people and places... That's the stuff right there.
Besides that, there's my obvious passion for tech stuff. ALL tech stuff, probably.
I also love movies, have a huge DVD (and starting a BD one) collection and tendo to go to the movies often.
- working out
- pub crawls
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies... That's a LONG subject... As I like a wide range of them... Those that I just watch for gratuitous fun, those that have deeper meaning...
Music is also really present in my life. Always try to have a music playing in the background, at least. Again: Wide range of tastes here :)
The short list is for books. They're not exactly my thing. I have a Kindle and usually read Sci-Fi novels, but in reality I mostly read tech magazines.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled to the other side of the country for a girl I met online (and Brazil is a HUGE country). We're not together, but it was the single most intense experience in my life.
I've backpacked over Europe. Once. (Note to self: More backpacking).
I've started my own company with college friends, didn't work out, sold my shares, bought a few shares on another, settled, company, and here I am.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well... I'm an avid software developer. It's not just work. I really LOVE doing it. So yes, I'd love to share that...
But not to worry: I get that it's not the most mainstream of topics so I am well trained and try not to bore people to death about it.
I can move my ears at will. Sadly, I probably won't be able to teach you that.
