About Me

Hi, I'm Pheonix (it's a nickname for friends). I'm 24 from North East England. I've always loved adventure and experience and had a great thirst for making the most of situations. I've finally decided that a life of travelling is the life I'd like to live. I have a varied range of hobbies, interests and skills I find joyful (art, music, reading, climbing, hiking, camping, sewing, cooking and baking) and I love learning and sharing.
I love the Pan-African philosophy, Ubuntu; it sees beyond the illusion of "self" and its ethos ", I am, because we are", prioritises kindness, humanistic values, forgiveness and community. I follow a plant-based diet mindfully mostly, and I love sharing nutritious recipes and learning new ones from others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel, meet new people and share joy.

Interests

I'm transitioning to a travelling lifestyle with digital nomad to work. As well as doing workaways (holistic work) and homestays (pet sitting) to really get the most experience that life has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is open to all genres as long as I can really feel it and move to it, so I am open to giving almost anything a go across all genres. In books, I like to take in a multitude of perspectives across a lot of genres. In movies, I love a resilience message woven throughout, a gripping twist or hidden elements.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

* Solo camped near a Scottish reservoir at 40mph winds.
* Put together a charity art exhibition in three weeks of pieces I'd done to raise money for Mind when I was 17.
