Travelling around the world. - now in Urugay . Sept 2011

ABOUT ME

Phil - a dream to see the world, working just didn't allow enough time and so decided to leave job and travel !
Angie - primary school teacher, left UK to live & work abroad, was in Turkey from Sept 06 to 07.

We are now traveling around the world in our own converted vehicle, freedom & choice to go wherever & whenever. Currently we are touring Central America.
We left Istanbul in April 07 to drive through Central Asia and on to Mongolia.
Spent 6 months in and around New Mexico, Utah, Colorado - some truly amazing scenery there WOW.

Sadly the US immigration service were reluctant to allow my stay to extend beyond 6 months and so went off diving in Thailand.

House-sitting from June 2009 in Guatemala on Lago De Atitlan.
After 3 months in Guatemala we then spent 2 months in and around Belize. Finished the year in Mexico.

As of March 2010 we are exploring the rest of Central America and now in Panama.

Vegetarian / non-smoking / social drinkers !

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before 'couch surfing' there was (and is) 'friends floors'.
We have stayed with many people in our years of travel and slept on rooves in Morocco, sand in the desert, floor for a month in Gambia, couch for 6 months in Geneva and yurts with nomads.
The best experiences are the unknown, the unplanned, meeting somebody in a street who opens their home and will share all with a complete stranger.
We have often found the greatest of humanity in the humblest of places.
