I have traveled to South Korea (Seoul, Busan, etc.) on February 7th, and stayed there until February 15th, and it was an excellent experience (thanks Bethany). I've also been all over Japan.

I think couch surfing is an amazing site. My first experience, in South Korea, was amazing. It is really a great thing to help people reduce the cost of travel so that they can see more of the world, and the spirit of sharing really comes through when you share your home with someone.
