Just turned the big 40 and keen to get out and see the world more in this next phase in my life! I have a keen interest the environment and have been lucky enough to find a fantastic career fulfilling that interest combined with community development work.

Over last few years, I've branched out my sports, fitness and outdoor pursuits interests. Enjoy range of activities including hiking, cycling (road and MTB), running, rollerblading, tennis, badminton, yoga and climbing, as well as general fitness. Jack of all trades, master of none, however! Always keen to try something new!

Very keen to build my social network and meet new people combined with the desire to travel! Great to find the best on trend places and experience the culture of an area with the locals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In short term, I'm visiting South Carolina, USA, for the Solar Eclipse so keen to see if couchsurfing can help me enjoy this to the full by making links with some local contacts and finding accommodation for this event!

Generally, I'm keen to be able to make use of couchsurfing as a tool for supporting lone travelling by actively meeting people, making friends and getting the inside knowledge and experience of an area.

Generally popular music - can't beat night of 60s-90s tunes to dance to! Listen to soul and r&b, but like other genres inc. Rock! Appreciate any live music!

Favourite movies are the scary movies! However do like the action movies too! Kill Bill a favourite and James Bond! Comedies like Austin Powers, Airplane and Naked Gun also faves! Currently following Game of Thrones and Walking Dead on TV.

Booked myself to go to South Carolina, USA, to watch solar eclipse on 21st August 2017 and kick start my travelling adventure!
