About Me

I'd say I'm driven by freedom and curiosity. Sometimes I impress myself looking back as little as a year ago and realizing how much I've learned and changed and will even think "I was such a fool back then". So I guess I am in constant motion, changing myself and broadening my reality tunnel as life is lived.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's one of the most brilliant forms of internet use, I'd say the good kind of "globalization".

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pretty eclectic, can't say I like a band or artist but I like some of their work, Leonard Cohen for example has a few great songs I know, Kings of Leon as well, Jorge Ben Jor, Devendra Banhart, Djavan, Ennio Morricone, gypsy music, gnawa, sufi music/qawali, arpa llanera, harp music, classical western music, classical Indian and Chinese music, have listened to everything in my lifetime but stick to more mellow and ethnic music these days, really appreciating classical more.

Movies: Truman Show, Idiocracy, Matrix trilogy, Waking Life, Kill Bill, The good, bad and ugly trilogy, Besouro, Estamira, Flatland, Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, Latcho Drom, The Last Trapper, Unforgiven, V for Vendetta

Books: mostly reference books about plants, crafts, and such, Plant Technology of First Peoples in British Columbia
