To feel the texture of life
I have been traveling a lot since I went to college. When I was younger, I spent hours looking at maps, dreaming about all those distant places I could visit one day. Now, as I travel more and more, I realize that people are often more interesting than places.
Live all you can; it's a mistake not to. It doesn't so much matter what you do in particular, so long as you have your life.
The world, and our worlds
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big fan of Italian films, especially those by Visconti, Antonioni, Rossellini. Other favorite directors include Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Wim Wenders, the Dardenne brothers, and Eric Rohmer.
As for music, I'm recently obsessed with Palestrina and Tomas Luis de Victoria. I'm also into indie bands like Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, M83, Of Monsters and Men, etc. And then, Mahler and Wagner are a must.
