About Me

My name's Philipp. I was born in Germany and grew up in a small village before I moved to Bremen to study Political Science, Media and Communication Studies. After a semester abroad in Brussels and my Master studies in Amsterdam, I moved to Berlin where I am currently working, living and enjoying life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm really interested in different cultures and I think that by meeting people from all over the world you can learn a lot and understand each other better. I have the strong believe that it can break down cultural barriers. The best way for me to get to know different cultures is to get in contact with the locals. Couchsurfing is a nice opportunity to get in contact quite easily and learn as much as possible about how life is at your place. Will you host me and show me your city?

Interests

I always love to meet new people and spend time with them eating out or having a drink somewhere. I like to travel and discover new places a lot. Next to traveling, I do a lot of sports e.g. running, badminton, going to the gym and I'm doing athletics. I also like swimming and spending days at the beach whenever it's possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While backpacking in New Zealand I did a Bungy jump as well as a skydive. These were amazing experiences I will never forget. The Nevis Bungy in Queenstown is one of the highest in the world and the scenery is really stunning even if I was not able to focus 100 % on that. I did the skydive in Taupo and here again: after the 60 seconds of the free fall, I enjoyed the view so much.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always love to show guests the place where I live and I think that this is the best way to discover an unknown area. You can always learn from other peoples' experiences and I'm really keen on doing everything to make my guests feel comfortable so that my place becomes their home for a while. Mi casa es su casa.
