Overview
About Me
Hi, we're Philipp and Anne, both students living in Berlin. We are often travelling together by bike, staying in a tent in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes, however, we like to socialise in order to get to know the regions a bit better, get a feeling for the people and the culture. We're both interested in politics, Philipp even decided to study political science.
Anyway, we love nature and the outdoors as well as big cities and their history or just cute little coffeeshops. While Philipp often has some random facts he just drops out of nowhere, Anne will point out random things like Flixbuses or do little dances.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Maybe it is naive or idealistic or both but I love the idea of a friendly world where you can crash anywhere you need to and spend time with nice people. Most of all it would be great to experience somewhere from a local perspective. Tourist spots are nice and everything but having seen them doesn't mean that you can say anything about the people living there, their way of thinking and everything...
Interests
We're both interested in people, their histories, identities, and ways of life. We like all kinds of everyday experiences in different places like going through a supermarket or a market hall, sitting in coffeeshops or pubs. It dies not have to be extraordinary to be exciting to us, although we're up for everything :))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When my friends and I went to Amsterdam after graduation, we didn't have the money to stay in a room or a hostel so instead we went camping and found out that the money for any hotel would have been completely wasted. We ended up making good friends and spending our nights chatting with lovely people from all over Europe and everyone shared their food. It made me realize that every experience is so much better when you can share it with somebody else.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're interested in political systems, I can definitely tell you some things. Anne can teach you dutch or painting faces. Philipp can play chess or fix your bike but is also very interested in learning new cooking recipes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will gladly help you with anything you need. Especially fixing bikes I'mdecently experienced with so if your bike needs fixing I'dbe happy to help. I can also cook quite okay.
