Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to go on pretty "usual" vacations, staying at hotels. The more I traveled I realized I was always more interested in the culture than in nature. So I figured that couchsurfing could be a natural way to connect with interesting people from different places.

Interests

I have an interest in science, especially space exploration. I hope space tourism takes off in my lifetime! Since my bike was stolen, I ride my longboard everywhere. I like anything design related and am always on the lookout for new inspiration. I don't watch television but I am a pretty big video game nerd.

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment I am into the synthwave genre, cheesy 80s style music with tons of synthesizers. It's more of a guilty pleasure, really. All time favorites are Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie. I find myself listening mostly to podcasts recently, though. I hope to find some new music soon!

My favorite book is Copy by David Brin. Other favorites are Snowcrash and Cryptonomicon by Neil Stephenson. I like realistic hard science fiction in general. Arnold Schwarzeneggers Autobiography was a great read, too!

If a movie features time travel, I am on board. Some good examples are Primer, Timecrimes, Coherence, Back to the Future...
