I´m Philipp, friendly and open-minded and relatively new to Couchsurfing.

I study psychology in Germany and am part in some environmental protection groups. Besides that I have many interests and hobbys and want to explore the more creative and artistic ones of them more in the future:)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: "Siddhartha" by Herrmann Hesse and "Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle - two books that helped me a lot in changing my own thinking to feel more at peace:)

Music: Minecraft Soundtrack (its so calm and emotional and creates such a pleasant ambience), Chopins Nocturnes (Chopin in general makes me really emotional and lets me feel emotions i normally struggle to feel), if you want to get to know some more niche genres i really can recommend hyperpop as well as jungle/breakcore (they are both really energetic and fun genres!), in general i like many different kinds of music:)

Movies/series: my favorite movies are probably The Lord of the Rings series (i love fantasy in general a lot!), series i watched and really enjoyed are for example: Euphoria, Sex Education, Andor

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My Erasmus semester in Istanbul was definitely one of the most incredible times of my life - i met so many lovely people, Istanbul is such a fun and adventurous city and the joy and excitement of living in a different culture and feeling welcomed there made me feel like i have a new home somewhere else in the world now:)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to offer some help in the household, cook a meal for you or invite you to an event/restaurant - anything to make up the kindness of hosting me:)
