About Me

I am an open-minded guy, interested in new ideas, perspectives and activities. Some call me an adventurous person. Preferably I stay outside and search for unique places. Maybe it's the side effect of reading too much Enid Blyton in my childhood, who knows.

The last years I spent in the diverse and green Berlin. Enjoyed the time very much there. Besides of all the good experiences, I discovered that life is for movement and not to stay at one place for too long (at least for a period in life;)).

Sport is a great thing for me, and I have practiced running, swimming, cycling and bodybuilding since 16 years old age nearly everday. Besides studying, I have got in contact with different kinds of stuff, and I have worked in a climbing gym and as a trainer. I'm mainly focused in climbing now: outdoor, indoor, bouldering or sportclimbing; it doesn't really matter. I do all of them. But for me climbing was a kind of door-opener to many other aspects, such as yoga, gymnastics, dancing, stretching, breathing, QiGong, movement in general and a healthy diet.
And of course, traveling comes with it. The opportunity to spend your time anywhere in nature, find your own specific (climbing) goals and be faced with your personal limits is something I enjoy it very much. Working on personal blockages, accepting your limits and sharing them with strangers which soon become your closest supporters and friends made me realize we're all connected. This became like a kind of attitude for me which I have integrated in my whole life.

Life is easy. Don't make it complicated. For me it's about playing around and experimenting in every aspect with the innocence of a child.

Share everything you have without expecting anything and you will be rewarded a 1000 times.

You ask me what's life for? Enjoying every moment. And sharing this Joy with the others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Anywhere I travel I would like to dive deep and fast into the local lifestyle. Getting in contact with the people there. Sharing thoughts, plans, recipes, worldviews or just a place to stay.

Interests

I always try to figure out a good balance between activity and rest. For the moment I am more on the active side.

Of course, there is always time for celebrating, and I like it! But unconcious use of drugs and stimulants (like alcohol, tabacco, caffeine, sugar, marijuana, consumerism,...) just bores me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me and a friend hoped on the last vehicle of a freight train, like the original american hobos:) Traveling along the coast of Spain while we were persued by a giant thunderstorm was maybe one of the most intense things I've ever done.
However, how we made it out of the harbour of Barcelona afterwards is a different story:D
