About Me
[Cannot host at the moment: traveling, no fixed abode]
I'm quite a dreamer.
I don't know where i'm going, but i'm on the way.
I love to start new things and i don't love finishing them - except meals, sometimes.
For those who like to read more, ten facts about my past:
1) I was born in the deep, deeeeep countryside. Literally grew up among the cows and sheeps...
2) In junior high, the physical education teacher used to HATE me; i was always daydreaming on the football ground and would inevitably run away anytime the ball approaches me.
3) My first musical crush was... J.S. Bach! I was so inspired by him that I tried to compose a prelude and fuga with a classmate.
4) When i was a child i wanted to become a urbanist. I used to design my own cities on paper, drawing many maps (simcity was far too limited for my purpose). My favorite creation was a 30 M people metropolis called Hammelkatten. I spent so much time on this city (over 2 or 3 years maybe) that I developed a very precise, clear and deep mental picture of it. Today, my imagination runs a different path, but i still love maps. Just leave me on google maps with a cup of tea and i can stay for hours.
5) In high school, my philosophy teacher treated me a beer and offered a bottle of champagne because i won a bet.
6) My first "big" trip alone: during my 19th summer, I went to Japan. I volunteered in a house for people with mental disabilities. And fell in love with the country.
7) At the age of 20 i slept in the streets of Paris with homeless people because all the cheap youth hostels i knew were full. A refugee guy took care of me and gave me a cardboard to sleep on.
8) I have a PhD in pure mathematics.
9) I didn't have a mobile phone until the age of 27.
10) I don't use facebook, instagram, nor any other social network... Well, except this one, obviously ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe, most things in life only make sense when shared with others. Moreover, hosting or being host is a great way to get to know people you would not necessarily have the opportunity to talk to in any other context. Last, but not least, I secretly expect that meeting interesting and inspiring people can provide new ideas, new directions for future life, or help to materialize some old ideas - why not start projects or collaborations together? :)
Interests
Like to party, to walk in a forest, in a city, in the mountain, to visit an old church, to play go(碁), to debate on how to survive the next decades (achieve a complete revolution in the governance of common goods, bring peace and kill imperialism of any kind, bring real democracy - not like here in the EU, make it impossible for anyone on earth to concentrate enough money to buy one million houses while others are working hard and struggling all their lives to buy just one,...)
- poetry
- piano
- mathematics
- hot springs
- pipe organ
