Hi I'm Philippe, from Brussels, Belgium.
I'm born in Brussels and I'm working for one of the municipalities of the city, then I know very well the capital of Belgium.

I work for Schaerbeek, one of the municipalities of Brussels, capital of Belgium. I'm busy with the local press of the city. A very interesting job : Schaerbeek population is more than 130.000, I discover everyday people who share things, ideas and projects, and my job is to tell stories about them.
Before was I sport journalist for one of the most popular belgian newspaper, La Libre Belgique. Of course I like sport and I like also music a lot, I play drums in a belgian band, Kings of Edelgran, a sort of Sigur Ros/Bon Iver band. My new passion is electronic music and my old love is rock music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to discover an other way of travel.
And I'm ready to welcome my firth couchsurfer, maybe you ?

Hard to explain my way of couchsurfing cause I'm a novice.
But I'll never be CS if I don't try it !

I think I will experience a new way of life and a new way of living. It is like I'm a child who will learn something new and big ! I can't wait.
I hope I'll meet a lot of interesting people and spend a time in their cities/town.
I like to discover a city from the intern part of it ! I like concerts, I like secret places... I like a lot of things and most of it, i like to share it !

I read books in french, dutch en english. I read about politics, sport, history and sometimes subjects that I don't know well, as architecture.
Of course I read some fictions !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spend two weeks in Brazil during the world cup 2014. I worked for the belgian football federation, my job was to take photographies of belgian fans. As a football fan, best job ever !

For a study work I spend days in a Hare Krishna monastary.
Hare Krishna is like a Hindu religion importaded in USA en Europa.
I like spend days out of my confort and this experience was very intense.

I spent 10 days in Moscow alone, with locals. One of the best trip of my live. Thanks to my russian friends !
