ABOUT ME

I am from a tiny island called Singapore, I enjoy food - I like cooking different dishes though I like eating them more. I also enjoy sports even if I'm not very good at them.

I am back home and finishing what's left of my course in university which means I can't go gallivanting to different countries as readily.

Small talk is as enjoyable to me as a wisdom tooth extraction, but I do indulge in it from time to time because I don't know what else to say. I am quite a geek and I like movies, I don't enjoy any particular genre; I watch anything from James Bond to Three Ninjas Kick Back to Tsui Hark's kungfu flicks.

I have a sense of humour, albeit a warped one. It probably won't reveal itself in my first few conversations with you, because like I've said before, I am pretty shy so I take some time to warm up to anybody.

I like music but I have an aversion to country and heavy metal. The former probably developed due to prolonged exposure to Conway Twitty's music courtesy of my parents.

I like books by Terry Pratchett, and I like the fantasy genre. I've read each of the first few Harry Potter books at least 10 times. I am probably too old for such books but I've read Enid Blyton's Malory Towers series so many times, I am slightly ashamed to put it down here. Not a big fan of chick lit or horror.

Some of my favourite directors are Martin Scorcese, Wong Kar Wai and Johnnie To. A couple of my favourite movies - Pleasantville, Saving Face, The Aviator, 2046.

I've gone canyoning in Switzerland, and I think that is pretty amazing for someone who is terrified of heights.
