Hey there, folks! Nice to meet you. Name's Joakim, but that's a tounge-twister for some people. In Uganda, I went by Akim, but I guess you can call me Joe. Or Alexander, that's my middle name.

I live in southern Sweden these days. Back where it all started. Today, I'm a store manager who has had the opportunity to get to know the Nordic neighborhood a bit better. I spend my days working a bit too much, and the rest of my time contemplating the universe and avoiding doing laundry.

I'm kind of a silent guy, but working with people have made me something of a reader of people and situations - and I'm not afraid to intervene. I'm gonna go ahead and call myself an anthropologist. I challenge myself to give more to charity than the year before.

Swedish/Finnish by blood, English by tounge, drummer by heart.

I believe in the power of the individual but perhaps even more in the power of the pack. Life's too short to be wasted on TV. Like Banksy told me; "Leave the house before you find something worth staying in for".

My wanderlust is starting to get at me, and I need to start taking time off from work. Also, it's boring to just stay at hotels and not meeting people where you travel. Culture is the people, and while people might build monuments to celebrate their culture - it's still the people that are interesting.
