Overview
About Me
I am a creative and imaginative person. I am passionate about music; making it, listening to it, discovering it and generally enjoying it.
I also love dance, reading, cooking, painting and exploring.
Character-wise I would describe myself as an empath, independent, loyal, dorky strong-minded and compassionate.
I practice kindness and believe in spirits who guide me through my life.
I believe in the importance of showing those closest to you that you love them and to always act on that love, so it goes without saying that my life revolves around my large and wonderfully dysfunctional family and my incredible group of friends.
PHILOSOPHY
1) Equality
2) Love Liberates
3) In any experience you have- whether positive or negative- you will always meet at least one person who will impact your life through that experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I stayed at a large couchsurfing project called N6 in Bangkok on and off for about 6 weeks. I first went there with a friend I was travelling with and quickly bonded with the 2 inspirational women who ran the house. When I arrived it was a sort of refuge for me and I will always be grateful to the N6 surfers for their support. While I was there I signed up to a teaching project a few hours outside of Bangkok and so after about 2 weeks I left N6, but I kept returning over and over again while I was in Thailand! I participated in countless group activities and outings with the people I met at N6 and hopefully this contributed to the community in some way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Its difficult to pinpoint one experience, but the most memorable and enjoyable times at N6 were Songkran (Thai new year) where we all went out onto the street for a huge waterfight.
Another great experience was discovering a vintage market in the heart of Bangkok with 2 girls I met at N6, the market had barely any tourists and some absolutely amazing stalls and a live band, it was easily my favourite place in Bangkok. And finally, my last night in Thailand where Jekky threw me a goodbye meal and cooked the most delicious food I had eaten on the entire trip.
