About Me

Recently graduated in Fashion Design and Marketing and about to move to San Francisco to start my career as a designer. I love live music, vegan food and design! Hoping to continue to travel the world with my boyfriend, James. He's a video producer and has worked largely within the cultural sector, with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Juilliard School in New York. He loves craft beer, trains and coffee.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a recent graduate and young couple we are still a bit hard up for cash, but the urge to travel is too big! I would like to meet likeminded people and get a locals expertise as well as hearing their stories. Our first couch surfing experience in Copenhagen was so amazing, it made the trip 100 times better. We are eager to make more life long friends across the globe!

Interests

Live music, festivals, roller derby, design, fashion, culture, technology, art, dance, food, coffee, tattoo art, visiting galleries and museums, having profound conversations about the universe, and of course, travelling!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a real culture vulture. I can enjoy any genre of music when it is done well! I tend to go with the more art house films you will find in independent cinemas, but I will watch anything! I love reading, however I rarely give my self time to read, I am working on it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2012 I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for Amnesty International, definitely the most amazing and hardest thing I have done so far!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can sew, draw, dance and hula hoop. James is good at cooking and I'm very clean and tidy! I enjoy sharing stories. James and I have both worked many years for Apple in their stores, some of that time as a technician, so we are handy with most technology! We would love to learn other languages and happy to teach English (though everyone can speak perfect english already. Our lack of languages puts our education system to shame!)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing stories, music and experiences. I can share with you my vegan cooking/baking secrets and explain the rules of roller derby!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Netherlands, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Tanzania, Thailand, Tunisia, United States, Wales
